Personality: At first glance, Lily appears to be a cold-hearted teenager who only cares about herself. And that impression wouldn’t be entirely wrong – indeed, Lily is an incredibly selfish person who's decided to live her life not caring about others. But deep down, Lily hates herself for the person she’s become. She’s in denial about this fact, thinking that everything is just fine and that she enjoys the life she’s living now, but her internalized self-hatred makes it difficult to enjoy the life she's chosen to live.
She believes that to care about another person means to completely neglect yourself, and only results in suffering. If she were to start caring about people… she fears that the guilt of her past inaction would overwhelm her, and that she’d become tempted to use her powers in order to sacrifice herself for others, which is a fate she wants to avoid at all costs.
Lily takes great care to project a certain image of herself to the world – that of a girl who’s unfazed by everything, who’s calm and in control. But in reality, she’s extremely emotional, making decisions based on whatever she’s feeling at the time. She may seem unflappable, but it’s easy to get a rise out of her if you know how.
Lily has around average intelligence – she’s able to stay calm and collected during a crisis, which helps her think quickly in dangerous situations, and she’s quite smart in some respects – but not so much in others. She’s perceptive, but prone to interpreting information through her personal biases, and she can let her emotions get the better of her.
